The constitutional position

The people are sovereign, not parliament whose duty it is to represent the wishes of the people. The result of the 2016 referendum is morally and politically binding, as stated publicly by the prime minister, Cameron, in his speech at Chatham House, in the publicly funded booklet sent to every household before the vote and on numerous other occasions.

The democratically expressed will of the British people must be fulfilled by leaving the EU and all of its institutions, including its court of injustice, ‘single market’ and customs union, without further unreasonable delay, failing which not only the EU but also her majesty’s government will have no political legitimacy.
