YOU’RE ‘AVIN’ A LAUGH!
HOW GREAT BRITAIN KEEPS THE EU TRADING
Another Positive Sunday Piece From The Brexit Facts4EU.Org Team
The UK leads the world in foreign currency trading (Forex).
It doesn’t just dominate the whole of the EU Forex markets including its ‘Eurozone’. The UK dominates the world. And without foreign currency, even the mighty Germany would find its international trade come grinding to a halt.
Below we show the UK in relation to EU27 countries.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY – UK’S DOMINANT POSITION IN EU
UK does 78% of the EU’s foreign exchange trading
UK does 21 times more than Germany
UK does 13 times more than France

This shows that it is the countries of the EU27 who are the minnows when it comes to foreign currency trading. No EU27 country even appears in the world’s top five.
AND THE UK IS STILL GROWING FASTER THAN ALL OTHER TOP PLAYERS, ‘DESPITE’ (OR PERHAPS BECAUSE OF) BREXIT
Here are the growth rates of the world’s top forex trading centres since Brexit. These figures show the change between April 2016 and April 2018.
United Kingdom: +23%
Hong Kong: +10%

The UK’s forex growth rate is more than twice that of the USA and Hong Kong and is the fastest of all the major financial centres.
SO WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT BREXIT?
ACCORDING TO REUTERS ANALYSIS IN AUGUST
“Leaving the European Union was supposed to deal a crippling blow to London’s position in global finance, prompting a mass exodus of jobs and business. But with eight months to go, London has tightened rather than weakened its grip on foreign exchange trading”
Anti-Brexit campaigners from the Chancellor Philip Hammond, to the Canadian Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, to every one of the various Europhile, anti-democratic, anti-British campaign groups in the country, tell us that the UK can’t possibly survive in any post-Brexit world.
The reason, we are told, is because Britain is a small player on the world stage and needs to be part of the EU to survive. The various Remoaner MPs and campaign groups use different language to get their message across, but the theme is a common one: the UK is small – almost insignificant – and we need the EU.
AN OUTWARD LOOKING, BOLD, POSITIVE, BREXIT BRITAIN
If anyone deserves the title of ‘Little Englanders’ it is surely the doom-mongers from the anti-Brexit camp. The truth is very far from the uninformed and desperate fantasies with which they continue to attempt to scare the British people into submission.
The reality is that the UK is a major player in the world across many areas of competence and achievement. In this article we have shown how the UK dominates the world in one of the essential areas that keeps the world’s trade moving – that of foreign currency.
You can trade as much as you like, but in the end you need to get paid. And getting paid ultimately involves being paid in your own country’s currency. Perhaps if more of the anti-British, anti-Brexit campaigners had some business experience they would know that.[Sources: Bank for International Settlements | Reuters | Coalition Analytics] Sunday 05.45am, 02 Sept 2018
