Housing needs

Published on 11 December, 2014

MR NEVE (Observer Letters, 27 November) writes ‘Like it or not, we have to accept that more housing is needed for our growing population…’

While the population of the country as a whole is indeed growing, the population of the Chichester district is shrinking.

If immigration from Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe were to be stopped and the millions of illegal immigrants, failed asylum seekers, foreign convicts and overstayers deported, the demand for new housing would be considerably reduced.

We could then preserve our beautiful countryside for both ourselves and future generations of our people to enjoy, instead of pouring concrete over it for the gain of a few. We should also bear in mind that we may need our green fields for growing food in the future, as we have in the past.

Patria is the one and only party with both the courage and the intelligence to put our people first. Visit our web site at www.patria-uk.org.
